Well we are going on our first road trip as a family of 3! We are headed to Tallahassee for my friend’s wedding. I’m excited to go back up since it’s been about a couple years since I’ve been there. It’s the first time since orientation that I will stay in a hotel there too. Weeeeird.

We stopped in Gainesville and ate at McAllisters (one of Brads favorites..) but didn’t stay long enough for Gator country to rub off on my sweet innocent baby. Whew.

Wyatt’s done fairly good in the car. Something that is an adjustment for me is stopping on roadtrips. I like to drive as long as possible without stopping and very very rarely would ever stop driving to Tally. He Got a little fussy about 30 minutes before we stopped in Gainesville. I can’t blame him though, car seats don’t offer much room to stretch.

Also. Wyatt has gotten pretty good at sitting up for short little spells on his own! He’s so cute- as he sits there propped on his hands, he turns his head from side to side looking all around him. It’s as if he is saying, oh I like this view :-)

I am not a blogger. This poor blog has seen ramblings, picture posts and “stuff.” I suppose I am glad WordPress doesn’t get rid of it! I always thought I would blog my pregnancy journey. That didn’t happen. I thought I would blog my birth story. That didn’t happen. I thought I would blog my child’s firsts. That hasn’t happened…. Yet. Wellll..we are about 5 months in.. Better late than never? Not to say I haven’t recorded milestones- I have. My phone, camera and computer can testify to the truth behind that statement. Perhaps I will post less on Facebook and more here. Here where people read because they want to, not because it’s on a feed they mindlessly scroll. We will see, I always have the best of intentions ;-)

Right now our sweet child is 4 months and 29 days old. Having a baby born on December 1st is cool because this first year his age follows the calendar exactly. I can’t believe how fast the time truly has gone by. It was hard to think it would fly by in the beginning, but now it is! He has enriched and blessed our lives in countless ways.

To update:
He loves rolling back to front, but can’t roll front to back. He digs his face and screams yells to be rolled back when he is done with tummy time
His legs have the motion to crawl. Thank the Lord he lacks the upper body strength to do so. In due time…
He is figuring out his voice changes when he moves his tongue to talk- which he loves to do and intently watches our mouths when we speak
His feet are his favorite chew toy, one toe at a time does not suffice
Bath time continues to trump all activities with his jump-a-roo closing in on becoming his favorite thing
He has started to reach for things and grab them or people he wants (and melts our hearts when we are what he wants) and has taken an interest in grabbing peoples faces
He stares at the dog as if waiting for Cooper to talk to him too
He is practicing sitting up and can even do it himself for a few seconds at a time
Still sleeping 7-9 hours at night before eating and going to sleep for another 2-3 hours :)
Two teeth are camping out beneath the gum line and have been for weeks now, making him Capt. Drool

Well. That is all for now – hopefully it’ll be a couple days for me to update again, not another year!

Be blessed!

Lots has been happening and I haven’t been blogging

My love for photography is back and I am SUPER excited about it!

Sneak peak of the sweetest siblings I had the honor to shoot Saturday!

This melts my heart

We are officially in the new house and out of the old! What an amazing and WONDERFUL feeling it is!! We are loving the new place :) As soon as we begin to settle over the next few months, pictures will begin to appear :)

So i got the amazing honor to be the photographer at my friend’s wedding vow renewal on their one year anniversary :) Here is one of my favorites:

Jess and her Bridesmaids

Dad’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to the best Dad I could have ever asked for. I learned so much from my father. He taught me so much about what a godly, caring, and strong father should be. He has been a role model for what I looked for in my husband. I can’t wait one day to have a child so we can teach and instill all the values and love you gave to me, mom and my sisters. Love you, Daddy.

Well we had our appraisal done and our home inspection is complete! We are set to close on June 29th! Lord willing, everything will go very smoothly and Brad and I will soon be able to call ourselves home owners.

We are still holding out hope for our house. I received a very encouraging email from our agent the other day. Our file has been moved to priority and the specialist realizes we want in for the home buyers tax credit. I hope this means they will do everything he can to GET THIS DONE! We will continue to hang on, even though June is slowly, but surely, creeping by.

So I have to share some of my favorite pictures from the bachelorette weekend :)

The ultimate in relaxation

Really, I need to take a photoshop class. But, for now, my skills will have to suffice.
